Welcome to Team IrnieRacing AMSOIL Synthetics. My name is Marcel Irnie, and I am 31 years old, born and raised in Kelowna BC, Canada. I have been racing Superbikes and running a professional race team for eight years now, which requires being an expert in all racing related fields, including lubrication. When I purchased my first race bike, an ex-factory 2005 ZX6-RR from Team Kawasaki Canada, I had all winter to research what was the best oil to use in my heavily modified race machine. I was surprised and shocked at the many mistruths of the oil industry, and most importantly "what is synthetic motor oil today?" All oil companies in North America, including the big three - Exxon, Mobil and Shell, have been selling mineral oil and calling it "synthetic." The term "synthetic" was just a marketing term, and not based on its components since 1999. Mobil sued Castrol in 1998 for selling mineral oil and calling it "synthetic," and lost the suit. The judge declared "synthetic' to be a marketing term not based on its components, and now included APRI Group 3 mineral oil. The whole industry then followed suit, and sold API Group 3 mineral oils as their own "synthetics." AMSOIL was the only company whom stuck to their principles and continued to sell 'chemically derived synthetics.' which cost a lot more to produce, but offer great benefits to the consumer. These benefits include longer drain intervals, reduced engine wear, better fuel economy, and fewer emissions. As I searched for more information at my local motorcycle dealer, I met an AMSOIL dealer, and it turned out I was more informed about the oil industry then he was. He suggested I become an AMSOIL dealer, and share my knowledge.
I have been stocking AMSOIL products since 2007, and I have continually developed an immense knowledge of the products and Motorsport industry. Please call / text (250.869.2515) or email (irnieracing@gmail.com) with any questions relating to AMSOIL and your vehicles needs.
